HOW TO WRAP

On this page we provide a step by step guide on how to wrap the stretchy and woven wrap.

There are several ways to wrap, depending on the type of fabric and your personal preference. Here we show you the two main methods. The first method is best suited for the stretchy wraps, as this gives more support to your baby’s back.

The woven wrap can be worn in many different ways. The one we set out here is just an example.

When in doubt, you should consult your local baby wearing consultant.

Stretchy wrap

1

Make sure the Babyluux logo is in the middle.

2

Start folding the wrap.

3

Place the wrap on your waist and cross both ends on your back. Then lay the ends over your shoulders to creaate an 'x' on your back.

4

Put the ends under the waist band and pull tight.

5

Cross the ends on your belly and then around your waist.

6

You can make a knot on your back or first bring it to your front and then knot it there.

7

Pull the waist down and make room between the shoulder straps.

8

Now take your baby. Guide your baby's feet through the pouch. Start with the one closest to your body.

9

Your baby is now sitting on the two shoulder straps under its bum.

10

Pull the fabric from knee to knee and around your baby's back, up to its neck. Again, start with the shoulder strap that is now closest to your baby's body.

11

Put your baby's feet under the waist band.

12

Then pull up the fabric over your baby's back.

13

You can adjust the shoulders straps for extra comfort.

14

Make sure there is enough room for your baby to breathe. Your baby is in the right ergonomic position when its knees are a little higher than its bum.

Woven wrap

1

Make sure the Babyluux logo is in the middle.

2

Start folding the wrap upward and place it on your waist.

3

Cross both ends on your back and lay the ends over your shoulders to create an 'x'.

4

Now take your baby and guide your baby's legs behind the fabric.

5

Then pull up the wrap over your baby's back. Always support your baby with one hand.

6

Pull your baby's feet to each side and pull the fabric under your baby's bum to create a pouch

7

Once you have created the pouch, take one shoulder strap and tighten it. With the other hand you support your baby. Then tighten the other strap. When both straps are tightened and your baby is sitting nicely in its pouch, you can take both straps in your hand and pull it a little more.

8

Cross the ends under your baby's bum creating extra support.

9

Then wrap the fabric under your baby's feet around your waist.

10

You can knot it on your back or bring it back to the front and then make the knot.

11

Make sure there is enough room for your baby to breath. For the right ergonomic position, make sure your baby's knees are a little higher than its bum.
